I'm Brandi, a portrait photographer in Irmo, and for close to two decades I've helped people see themselves the way the people who love them already do.

1. Doing it yourself. You can take a picture from your mobile phone but you are a professional. Your image should create the perfect first impression. A selfie is not perfect nor is it professional. It’s time to invest in yourself and your brand. Look professional, confident and trustworthy. People make judgements within a fraction of a second based on your profile picture. A professional headshot is a worthwhile investment. It needs to be right, relevant and up to date. You simply cannot afford to do it yourself.
2. Selecting the wrong outfit. It’s important to choose colors that flatter you and outfits that fit properly. Solid colors work best. Save the wild patterns for that fun vacation photo. Bring at least 2 outfits. This gives you variety and the ability to swap out your headshot when needed.
3. Facial expressions are forced. It’s crucial for you to look approachable, trustworthy and genuine in your headshot. An angry expression will cause you to lose business. Nobody wants a cheesy smile or uncomfortable expression. Such images are not scroll stopping.
Hire a professional photographer, it will be one of the best business investments you make. Here at Brandi Blake Photography, we guide you every step of the way. From the appropriate background, attire and expressions, we’ll have you making the perfect first impression.
