Life is Hard, Have Fun.
I love sharing my client’s stories through portraits and interviews. Heather has a unique career and one she is very passionate about. Losing a loved one is never easy but having someone like Heather to help navigate that journey eases some of the burden.
Here are a few snippets from Heather’s interview. Don’t forget to follow her advice and have a little fun!
What made you get pictures done?
I need a new image.
What has changed in your life?
My business is taking up a lot more of my time. I’m doing a lot more out and about meet and greets. As well as presentations and making sure individuals know what I do.
How do you think the definition of beauty has changed over the years?
I think too much emphasis has been placed on the physical exterior instead of what really the person consists of and who they are internally.
What would you tell your 20-year-old self?
Oh girl have fun. Life is already hard, just have fun.
What motivates you in the morning?
I get dressed in the morning because somebody out there has been loved by somebody somewhere at sometime and deserves a dignified service, or help, whatever it is that they need to traverse this journey that they’re on.
What advice would you give your daughter today?
That the world doesn’t revolve around her and that there are more things to life then possessions, or titles, or anything like that. We have such a beautiful world that deserves people to find out more about it. Visit places, go do things, relationships are what build a better world.
How would your closest friends describe you?
Probably about the only person that if you don’t want to know the truth don’t ask the question. That I am honest to a T in that there are things that we get all stuck on that we don’t need to get stuck up on.
What advice would you give a young mother today?
Time. We have to spend time with our children. We have to spend time with our family. That is the one thing you can never replace. You can never recharge it, you can’t do anything with it once it’s gone. Take the time to be with your kids and be with your family.
How do you think the younger generation perceives your generation?
I think that our generations are different because of the technology, and that I fear in a way for our younger generation because technology has eliminated the ability for individuals to communicate and really understand who they are as an individual.
What is your favorite quote or scripture?
“If we are not able to be together tomorrow, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
~ A.A Milne, “Winnie the Pooh”
