A Little Miracle

Meet baby Kambry! We have all heard of miracles but rarely do we get to meet one. I met Kambry and her family this past December. As many of you know I volunteer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, an organization that provides bereavement photos for families whose babies will not leave the hospital. Kambry has trisomy18 and a cardiac condition. Her parents were told they could take her home on hospice care, she was not expected to live for very long.  The one thing I remember most about photographing their NILMDTS session is the family's love and support. They had many friends and family members present to meet Kambry. A few weeks later, I learned Kambry was alive and doing well.

I gifted a newborn session to mom and dad so we could document this time in a happier setting. As you can see, Kambry is beautiful and strong! Even though she wiggled out of a few of my wraps, she rocked her newborn session. A little miracle right here in San Antonio, Texas. Kambry's parents believe in prayer and are so thankful for all the family and friends praying for them. Kambry has stumped the doctors. She was not expected to live this long. Mom and Dad do not know how long they have with their newest blessing but they treasure her every day. Please keep this family in your prayers.
