Don’t Stop

I love sharing my client’s stories through portraits and interviews. This gorgeous gal was so much fun to photograph. We loved helping her celebrate a new move, new job and a new beginning!

Here are a few snippets from Jean’s interview.

What made you get pictures done?

I’ve had some bad luck in the last several years and I’m trying to start fresh, new job, new city, new me.

How do you think the definition of beauty has changed over the years?

People are more accepting of larger size women as models and just people in general and I think women are starting to appreciate that and feel more comfortable wearing sexy clothes and not being afraid to do that.

What would you tell your 20-year-old self?

Don’t be so impulsive and just live your life

When do you feel you were the most confident in life?

Maybe now. I’m generally afraid to do things, this is a big step I’m going to take but I’m not afraid and I feel like I’ll be able to do it, and I’m looking forward to it.

If you had one piece of advice to give younger ladies today, what would it be?

Don’t be so impulsive and make sure that what you do is for you and not for someone else.

How would the people around you describe you?

Quiet, funny… sometimes, very giving and willing to do anything for anybody.

What motivates you to get up in the morning?

I get up to go to work.

If you had one thing on your bucket list that you want to do what would it be?

Go to Hawaii, since I’m in Virginia I’m going to Chincoteague or Assateague to see the wild horses and try to save money for retirement.

What is your favorite quote or scripture?

You don’t stop doing things because you get old, you get old because you stop doing things.
